Well I’m a Fellini fan, and I don’t think anyone has been able to put in film the way he has the process of creation an artist goes through.
To see what I mean rent the movie 8 1/2.

Circus of Illusions- The roots of the myth of Federico Fellini”, has been one of best artistic showcases I’ve encountered. A must see for a die hard Fellini fan. It’s almost absurd to imagine trying to get this film made today. Nobody would know how to react.
I hope you’re right that the imitators are being swept away to make room for the next wave of the real deal. Who knows how many potential Fellinis have been lost in the wreckage.
Thanks for sharing and now I’m in the mood to watch 81/2 again to reacquaint myself with Fellini’s love of beauty, style and the artistic process. Thanks for sharing.
