On the morning of November 18th 2010 Hamish Bowles hosted a viewing of “Balenciaga, Spanish Master” a selection of Cristobal Balenciaga’s dresses with notes highlighting his inspiration, from Goya, Matador’s, gypsies, to spanish mourning garb. Also on view were sketches and videos of a Balenciaga défilé in Paris in the 1950′s. It was nice to see not only young women, and men at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute but also children, of which Little Nata stood out quite fittingly dressed in the style of the matador.
