Final Curve

When you turn the corner
And you run into yourself
Then you know that you have turned
All the corners that are left

Langston Hughes
Here I am in the wild, the wild of Africa and the wild of New York, and in both places you need to unhinder yourself at times, become very flexible, and sometimes one of the ways to do that is to round yourself into a circle, to simplify things, to wear a uniform so that you become, more you…less hindered, more free…
I’m wearing my topshop overalls in all instances here as a way of simplifying and rounding off the edges…

    you are truly amazing.

meeting you on FNO was one of the best things to happen to me, in a while.
I was inspired + lifted, greatly, by your presence alone.

    Thank You.

    Hi Shala!
I am a HUGE fan! I mean HUGE! I have always thought of fashion as this spiritual journey, where all types of creation come together to help you figure out who you are and your purpose in this life and I see all of this reflected in you through fashion. Especially in your blog. I heart.

Come on…really? Surely you can do better than just say Africa. Does the country have a name as I’m sure you didn’t visit the whole continent dear

You are right, thank you for pointing it out, that was very remiss of me. The countries pictured here are Namibia and Botswana in Southern Africa.
