A couple of months ago I had the good fortune of sitting with the jewelry designer Victoire de Castellane at a Gagosian Gallery dinner for Richard Prince in Paris. The one thing Victoire and I gushed over was, straight men and jewlery. We wished we saw more, how sexy it is, how confident and on and on we went. We had a very specific man in mind and since that night we have both been on the look out.
I started thinking about it again some more after my post about Theophilus London and so I wanted to go back some more, past Jimi Hendrix, past James Brown and then I found the image above from the Ghana Gold Festival.
LOOK IN PARIS AND MILAN AND SPAIN ,LOOK UNDER THERE SHIRTS COLLAR AND CUFF´S…then again i think TATTOOS HAS REPLACED THE NEED OF JEWELRY FOR MEN…then again it goes hand in hand most of the time…….and then again its a hard thing to pull off …..then again its already hard for (STR8 )men to understand the right fit of a jacket and pants ,etc
Where are these pictures from? The images and the jewellery they feature are amazing!
“Habille ton corps, porte de l’Or”
“Dress your body, wear Gold”
Ahh I love seeing pictures like this! I can’t wait to go back to Ghana! Shala you always post the most interesting things!
i’ve seen theophilus london preform twice, and i’ve been doubly impressed with his style. i couldn’t agree more with your sentiment on how it’s perceived by ladybirds when a straight man is wearing it. here are a couple of photos i took of him at his last performance in san francisco with a close up of his jewels.

I Think African Everything is on the rise as we embrace this shift in Consciousness. As for myself, I have a Gorgeous armcuff in the Post obtained from one of the many emerging Spiritually Conscious Copper/Stone/Crrstal Jewelry Designers that I am fortunate to have linked up with online. Keep up the lusciousness. Love it.
Hi Natasha,
